Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum:
The Ponce Inlet lighthouse is 175 feet making it the tallest lighthouse in the state of Florida and one of the tallest in the United States. Choose to explore the light station on your own or reserve a spot in the guided private tours. This lighthouse is one of the most authentic and complete historic lighthouse facilities in the country. Don’t miss out on discovering this National Historic Landmark!
Lighthouse Point Park:
Another amazing attraction in Ponce Inlet, this 52-acre inlet park has wooden boardwalks, picnic pavilions, and of course restrooms. Walk on the nature trail through the forested area in the park’s center to the observation tower that overlooks the Halifax River. The park has an 800’ jetty deck and a dog-friendly swimming beach along the inlet shoreline. All park amenities are handicapped accessible and dog-friendly.
Boardwalk Arcades, Food, and Shops on the Beach: From the resort, take a short walk down the Board Walk or along the beach to the beach-front arcades, shops, and eateries. Play games, ride the Vomitron or Slingshot if you dare, eat snacks and pizza, have a few drinks, or turn the corner to get the best homemade ice cream and saltwater taffy in town. Located just before the pier and Joe’s Crab Shack.
Historic Daytona Beach Bandshell:
This historic site in Daytona Beach is right next door to the resort, so close you can hear the music right from your balcony. Here, you will find a variety of cultural and artistic offerings, including open-air concerts and community events.
Daytona International Speedway:
Home of the Daytona 500, this speedway is the ultimate NASCAR experience. The track also hosts ARCA, AMA Superbike, Motocross, and so much more. This 3.560 mile sports car course speedway offers the best seats in the house to watch your favorite races. The venue is also open for tours and NASCAR racing experiences.
Putt-Putt Golf Courses: Just a short drive from the resort, take the family out for some putt-putt golf! These outdoor 18-hole courses are full of adventure and fun! At Congo river, you can have the opportunity to feed or even take a picture with alligators! So much fun for the entire family! Below are a few of our favorites!
Marineland:
The worlds first oceanarium! Take part in one-of-a-kind dolphin experiences from painting to swimming with the dolphins. Tour the facility and see their resident sea turtles and sand tiger sharks. Learn about the history of Marineland and get involved in their conservation efforts. There is so much to do when you visit this amazing place, located outside of St. Augustine, around 47 minutes from the resort.
Fishing Off the Pier:
The resort is within walking distance to the Daytona Beach Pier, centrally located in Daytona Beach’s famous amusement and entertainment area. This is a popular local fishing spot with no cost to fish and fishing licenses aren’t required. Grab your poles and bait your hook to enjoy a relaxing day at one of the area’s favorite landmarks.
Further south down the coastline is the Sunglow Fishing Pier, right next to Crabby Joe’s Deck & Grill. Fishing licenses are not required. The pier offers a bait shack, fish cleaning areas, seating and fishing pole rentals. Some of the fish usually caught on the pier are Whiting, Pompano, Flounder, Trout, Sheep’s Head and Drum.
Equestrian Adventures of Florida:
Take an adventure on horseback to explore the great outdoors of Florida. They offer horseback tours on the beach and on many trails throughout Central Florida’s old oak forests and preserves.
Daytona Flea and Farmer’s Market:
Open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Come experience a flea market like none other. Rated 6th in the world, the Daytona Flea and Farmer’s Market will not disappoint. With over 650 unique shops and locally grown produce, you are sure to find some treasures.
Jackie Robinson Ballpark & Statue:
Come visit this historic baseball field located right in Daytona Beach. The ballpark is the 4th oldest ballpark and widely recognized as one of the best ballparks in Minor League Baseball. In 1989, it was named after Jackie Robinson and his statue sits just outside the Orange Avenue Gate. He broke the color barrier and played his first professional game at this ballpark. Modern improvements while maintaining it’s history and charm make the Jackie Robinson Ballpark one to experience for the entire family.

If you love to shop, you won’t want to miss these outlets! Over 70 stores supplying you with savings and deals on all your favorite designer brands. Check out the website to plan your trip and save time before you go!
Daytona Lagoon Water Park:
This family-friendly water park is located just across the street from the Ocean Walk Resort. Offering a water park full of slides, an interactive water playground, wave pool, and a lazy river. The park also has go-karts, mini-golf, and a mega arcade and laser tag! Perfect for everyone looking for a good time! They do have limited and seasonal hours so make sure to look at their site to plan your trip.
Ocean Center:
This is the 5th largest convention center in Florida. Just a short walk from the resort, the Ocean Center convention center is the area’s main beach, entertainment and sports complex, hosting events of all sizes.
Golf Courses:
Daytona Beach is home to nearly 20 golf courses, all with amazing accommodations, some of which highlight the stunning Atlantic Ocean views. Below are a few of the top golf courses in the Daytona Beach area. Golfers, you will not be disappointed!
Marine Science Center: This center is a county-funded and operated sea turtle and seabird rehabilitation facility located in Ponce Inlet, about 12 miles from the resort. At the center, you can learn about the marine resources of the Volusia County and the center’s ability to rehabilitate and release sea turtles and seabirds. Experience the fascinating exhibits of marine life, watch the daily resident rapture feedings, take a walk to the observation tower to see the mangroves and estuaries, and visit the sea turtle and bird hospitals. You won’t be disappointed with this stop and all the proceeds go to an excellent cause!
